Experience
Tacel · Full-Stack Developer
Toronto, ON · January 2024 to Present
- Primary developer of the company's internal operations platform, 15+ apps and services (14 Electron/React desktop apps, a Tauri 2 + Rust rebuild, 2 Next.js sites, Python/Node services) descending from one shared template I designed, plus a 9-package internal npm ecosystem that hot-updates modules in production without app rebuilds.
- Built the end-to-end RMA (returns) lifecycle platform across three coordinated desktop apps: per-item approvals, dual-currency repair costing, credits, cross-app audit logging, barcode scanning, thermal-label printing; the shipping app alone spans ~200 IPC channels.
- Stood up company-wide CI/CD on a $0 budget: GitHub Actions on self-hosted runners across 12 repos: Vitest coverage ratchet, Playwright Electron E2E, an AST-enforced "new functions need tests" gate, Semgrep SQL-injection rules, all auto-deploying self-updating installers.
- Engineered the data foundation: a self-healing Python ETL mirroring ~50 Sage 300 ERP tables hourly via per-row MD5 hash diffs; a custom cross-app SSO (named-pipe + one-time JWT) giving ~2-second pre-authenticated launches; fully offline AI tooling (Ollama RAG, on-device speech-to-text, two MCP servers).
Legacy Delta Technologies (LDT) · Founder & Software Engineer
Toronto, ON · my own software company · 2026 to Present
- Founded LDT and shipped TEMPO, a local-first touchscreen attendance kiosk deployed in production at a manufacturing company, built as a self-contained Rust (Axum) binary with SQLite and a React + TypeScript UI served by the binary itself (no Node.js at runtime), serial barcode scanning, offline-first storage, Chromium kiosk shell with one-command Raspberry Pi provisioning, and a management console for administration and reporting.
Selected Projects
Plexium Hub · live on the Apple App Store
Rust (Axum) + SQLite server · Capacitor iOS/Android client · published under my own Apple developer account
- Built and published a cross-platform media app to the Apple App Store (v2.9.13, Aug 2026), and support it in production: review rejections, code signing and provisioning, staged releases, and fixes shipped to users already on older builds. The Android client builds in the same pipeline and is distributed directly.
- Backend is a self-hosted Rust / Axum + SQLite service (~105,000 LOC Rust) streaming to phone, desktop and browser, with offline downloads (resumable, on-device playback), background audio, deep links and per-profile access control.
- 1,100+ commits behind 900+ automated tests and a GitHub Actions pipeline that builds the iOS and Android artifacts and version-gates every release before it is published.
AYHAN'S Barbershop · sold & delivered to a paying client · live in production
Astro 6 + React islands · Supabase · a complete commercial sale: built, deployed, and handed off to a paying client
- Sold and delivered a revenue-facing site end-to-end: Supabase Postgres (~20 tables) with Row-Level Security, Edge Functions and 3 pg_cron jobs, Twilio SMS confirmations, a self-serve admin console and 16 Vitest tests.
